49.6 million is earmarked for strengthening CO2Vision’s efforts
The Co2Vision NeXt project will build on a number of initiatives from CO2Vision:
“Now we can put even more emphasis on the initiatives aimed at making North Jutland a leading region for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). This funding enables a broad range of companies, municipalities, research institutions, and organizations to collaborate on developing new knowledge and testing and demonstrating the CCUS solutions of the future in North Jutland. “If we are to accelerate CCUS development, it is important that we can mobilize the resources needed to take CCUS technologies out of the laboratories and into larger test and demonstration projects, so we can learn how they work in the real world,” says Anders Brøndum Klein, project manager at CO2Vision for Green Hub Denmark.
The funds come from the Fund for a Just Transition under the theme “A Cohesive Denmark with Strong Local Economic Beacons.”
“CO2Vision NeXt is intended to help bring the local business beacon in North Jutland to fruition. I am pleased that, with the green funding from the Fund for a Just Transition, we can support this ambitious project. The majority of the project’s funding will be used for testing and demonstrating CCUS solutions on both a large and small scale, thereby helping to advance the transition in North Jutland and laying the groundwork for new growth opportunities,” said Peter Hansen, who chairs the selection committee of the Just Transition Fund.
