Who are you?
Energy Cluster Denmark is Denmark's cluster organization for the entire energy sector. Our vision is for Denmark to be a leading green nation for the development and demonstration of innovative and global energy solutions. Energy Cluster Denmark is therefore the neutral, value-creating and member-driven innovation platform for establishing and facilitating innovation collaborations between small and large companies, knowledge institutions and public actors in the entire energy sector. We help to facilitate and fundraise concrete innovation activities and innovation projects that always involve partnerships between small and medium-sized companies, market-leading companies and leading research and knowledge institutions.
Why are you involved in CO2Vision?
Our focus is to ensure that Danish companies and knowledge institutions develop new innovation and technological energy solutions that the world demands. The vision for CO2Vision is that North Jutland should be a pioneering region for CO2 capture, storage and use, and Energy Cluster Denmark contributes to that vision, among other things, by connecting relevant members to the project. At the same time, we support the collaboration opportunities that arise across companies and knowledge institutions, and support collaboration through process management, where we ensure progress and that milestones and deliveries are achieved.
What do you offer as a partner in CO2Vision?
As a partner in CO2Vision, Energy Cluster Denmark handles the process management of the mini-lighthouses/sub-projects, which all work with testing and demonstration in the CCUS value chain. We are part of the consortium (link to consortium page) that, through our respective skills and expertise, form the whole that can realize and execute CO2Vision. At the same time, Energy Cluster Denmark is involved in the test and demonstration sites that each work with one or more of the challenges within CCUS. Through process management, we also facilitate events, network meetings and workshops, where technical barriers and challenges are identified and addressed. In line with Energy Cluster Denmark's other tasks on both national and international projects, we also contribute with communication efforts and by bringing in new funding for new phases of the project in collaboration with our good partners in the consortium.
What do you expect to come out of having been part of CO2Vision?
For Energy Cluster Denmark, the purpose of CO2Vision is, among other things, to help support and pave the way for the talented companies and knowledge institutions that can together develop future solutions within CCUS. We are set in the world to ensure that Danish companies and knowledge institutions develop new innovation and technological energy solutions. The vision for CO2Vision therefore speaks directly to our objective to accelerate the green transition and CO2 reduction through the development of new globally leading technological solutions across energy areas and through sector coupling. Specifically, the project participants can, among other things, get support for machines and equipment and test the solutions, and thus CO2Vision helps to form the framework for future investments within the CCUS area.
What has it given you to be part of CO2Vision?
CO2Vision emphasizes the value of good cooperation across the entire value chain. When we in the consortium go together with companies and knowledge institutions, and collaborate to solve the North Jutland CO2 challenge, the partnerships are strengthened. In the smaller sub-projects, the collaboration has also produced good results, and the opportunity to share knowledge across the projects has been of great benefit to the progress and further development of the many good energy solutions. We look forward to continuing to be part of the important task of helping to solve climate challenges at both national and international level.
