The Co2Vision conference focused on the vision in reality

More than 200 participants attended the conference in the North Jutland business lighthouse, CO2Vision, on Tuesday 29 August 2023. At KaffeFair in Aalborg, the participants were presented with results from test and demonstration projects as well as analyzes and studies on infrastructure and competence needs within the CCUS area. The program also included a technical debate with the participation of Professor Larry Baxter from Aalborg University and Jesper Sand Damtoft, Group Sustainability and R&D Director at Aalborg Portland. Here, the participants got an insight into the technical considerations and challenges that CO2 capture entails, as well as a discussion of the various technologies that can be used for capture.

After the seated part of the conference, the participants were guided out into buses that took them out to see two of CO2Vision's test and demonstration facilities at Grøn Gas in Hjørring, which has set up a plant for CO2 capture and CO2 and LBG liquefaction. Subsequently, the buses drove on to the Port of Aalborg, who, together with Blue World Technologies and Aalborg University, presented us with their test and demonstration facilities, where they will promote the expansion of the existing infrastructure, so that hydrogen and CO2 are converted into green fuel in the form of methanol for application in the transport sector.

Throughout the day, there was great satisfaction among the participants who got to listen, see and network. The team behind the conference would like to say thank you for the great support, and we look forward to gathering the entire CO2Vision network again, when we again collect completed phases and look into future ones.
